What Is Virtual Pbx Voip?
The Pbx means private branch exchange which is a private telephone network used within a company. The Pbx system connects a whole phone system and the phones all share a number of outside lines for all of their external calls. This system also connects them to the PSTN which is the public switch telephone network. The Pbx Voip or what is called the Ip Pbx, is a phone system that uses the internet protocol in order to transmit calls. Which brings us to the Virtual Pbx Voip which is basically just the IP Pbx and the virtual word put in the name is to describe that the phone conversations that this generates are all delivered in a virtual world which happens to be the internet.
There are many reasons that company's should switch their regular Pbx system to the virtual Pbx Voip system. The main benefits of the Virtual Pbx Voip system is it is much easier to install and configure then a propriety phone system. It is easier to manage because of the web/GUI based configuration interface. This means that the whole system that is virtual can also be managed from a web-based interface which allows the users to maintain and fine-tune the phone system whenever necessary and the information is never lost.
Other benefits of the Virtual Pbx Voip also include significant cost savings using Voip service providers, it eliminates any extra phone wiring, it eliminates vendor lock in from when a company has to hire a vendor for their regular Pbx and there is no way that they can just get up one day and switch vendors because they have to keep their company running and to switch vendors would be a week's task.
Also the virtual Pbx Voip is a scalable system meaning that regular Pbx systems are easy to outgrow and then the company would have to get a whole new system. The company may have to add new wires and phone lines along with many other types of equipment. With the Virtual Pbx Voip, all the company would need to add is phones. Also the system helps on better customer service and more productivity. Plus there is twice the phone system features for half of the price. With the Virtual Pbx Voip, the company is all web-based and upgrades and improvements to the system can be as easy as a click of the mouse button. The system also allows hot desking and roaming. Hot desking means being able to move offices and desks easily without having to worry about moving all the lines that are associated with that particular station. Since everything is basically web-based, one desk could be moved to another room and hooked up to the lines in that room and have access to exactly what it had in the original room.
